WHAT DOES ACTIVE MEAN?
Seeds and nuts are among the best natural sources of mineral and healthy fats. By nature they contain phytic acid; mostly in nuts.. Phytic acid prevents the absorption of minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron and magnesium. Especially when foods containing phytic acid are consumed regularly, the risk of mineral deficiency and osteoporosis increases.
In summary; we ‘activate’ it to get the maximum benefit from the nutrients.
How to activate?
There are different ways of removing phytic acid: soaking, sprouting or fermenting.
As Le Fika, we activate the raw materials we use in all of our products by applying one or all of these 3 processes.
